General Info - Power Generation

King Country Energy owns and operates four local generation sites and is 50% owner of the Mangahao Station . All of King Country Energy's electricity generation is based on environmentally friendly renewable hydro electricity, which uses water to drive turbines and generators.

In addition to existing generation sites, King Country Energy is currently expanding its generation capacity with a new hydro station which, once complete, will provide enough additional electricity to power a town the size of Te Kuiti.
