Mokauiti Site
The Mokauiti station was commissioned in 1963. Situated on the side of the Mokauiti river. The water is dammed approximately 1km upstream, then piped through a hill and down to the station. It then forks into two which supplies both machines.
The generation electricity is distributed into the local network at 33kV.
The scheme is effectively river run and uses an adjustable spillway gate to control the head pond level.
